Rail & Ferries

All transport can be booked through Travel Counsellors.

EUROSTAR
Trains running from St Pancras now allow easier access to the European Rail network.

All Eurostar trains have seats for wheelchair users to stay in their wheelchairs with a companion seat next to it. A Special lap table is available for attachment so you won't spill your G&T.
Your companion will travel at reduced rate.

To book follow the link and enter Travel Information and then Special Travel Needs.

These seats are in the First Class carriages so if you have lots of companions they may need to sit in another carriage unless they are prepared to pay the extra to sit with you.
However you'll be through the tunnel before you know it, and they can pop in to say hello while you're on board. If First Class is a bit sparsely populated, you may even get an upgrade.

Hydraulic Lifts and assistance is avalable to get you into the trains and once there, the disabled toilet is right outside the carriage. This has a sliding door and full access to all but the bulkiest wheelchair.

If you just need a lift up the train steps but can walk to a seat holding onto the seat backs as you go, that can be arranged before travel as well.

NOTE: At the Disneyland Paris Station at Marne La Valee, the platform is lower than in England and there are 3 steep steps down with a gap to the platform of at least six inches ( 150 cm) - You may need assistance.

FERRIES

Contact us now if you need immediate information.
Most ferries have a lift from the car deck and will place you so you can get out of the car easily. They see you coming as you should declare your disabled status on check-in and your windscreen mirror gets a special notice the loading crew can see.

Some of the FASTCAT services do not have this lift, some do. It will be important to state if you need a lift when booking. The crew may be trained to carry you up a flight of stairs in your chair and I expect you can imagine what that means in practice. It's your choice. Obviously most crews are excellent.

P&O FERRIES have Accessibility information. Click ONBOARD, choose your route and scroll down to Accessibility Information.

We have accessibility information about P & O and other Chanel Crossings. We can also arrange an accessible cabin on some long routes. Please contact us....

Contact us if you need to find out more so we can get all your requirements planned before you travel.
