Flights
We can book flights anywhere in the world through Travel Counsellors.

We can arrange stopovers on long haul flights, or break up your holiday into 2 or 3 centered resort breaks. Contact us to start your holiday planning.
AIRLIINES AND DISABLED PEOPLE
Most airlines including low-cost ones, have a disabled persons' policy to assist you to fly comfortably and safely.
There is assitance available at most airports from check-in until boarding which is usually done with a lift to the door if you use a wheelchair or have limited mobility. This needs to be arranged at the time of booking a flight so we will need to know what you require to be safe and comfortable.
There are lots of Local Airports becoming International these days so we can usually find one near to you.
ACCESS TO PLANES
Carry-on seats are often used to get you from any wheelchair you may be using in the lift, to a seat. Occasionally in destination airports you may have to be carried down the stairs in this seat. although staff are trained to do this, it can be quite an experience!
If you are particularly heavy or you have involuntary movements which may make this procedure difficult, it's best to check your proposed destination airport's facilities before booking - unless you value adventure.
We can follow this though for you when flights are booked with us.
BAGGAGE & EXCESS
Many of the airlines have baggage restrictions and extra charges so it is necessary to plan well as you may have to declare numbers of bags before you fly. Extra necessary Medical equipment may be carried, charges vary.
It's best to pare down any wheelchairs to the essentials for travel and even take your special cushions on board with you so they don't get lost in the hold and will be ready when you are taken off the plane. Some electric powered chairs can be carried, ask for advice.
If you need hoists, special matresses, mobility aids etc. it would make travelling easier if you hired them locally in resort. Contact us.
Oxygen may be provided if pre-arranged and after receipt of a Doctor's letter by the airline.
CALLS OF NATURE
It is extremely rare that flight staff can help you to the toilet on board. Most airlines state you need to travel with someone if you need this assistance. If you're planning a long-haul flight, make sure you consider this in good time, your GP may have some suggestions of how to cope.
Monarch are especially helpful and you can book extra legroom seats - not in the emergency exits - for a small fee.
They fly to resorts around the Mediterranean, Canaries and Cyprus from Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Luton and also Aberdeen to Malaga.
